  1. I love Sophie’s I fell in love with the place the minute I walked in so when I saw that they had opened it’s sister restaurant in town I really really had to try it. It wasn’t hard to book a table, it was their second night opened and the place is huge. It is a bit difficult to find unless you spot the sign right beside the Porter House in Temple Bar. You walk in and instantly see the resemblance with Sophies but later realise how much much bigger this place is. The venue is beautiful with views both of the Liffey and Temple Bar. It has a smoking terrace and a private party room that caters for 16 people. They don’t have a large menu but it is hard to decide what to try. I had the Lamb Rump with skinny parmesan fries and my friend had the Organic Chicken with a side of cauliflower and both were full of flavour, absolutely divine.
We didn’t order starters to save ourselves for dessert, however nothing really jumped at us from the dessert menu…we ended up getting the Chocolate to share but weren’t really impressed, I think they need to work on their dessert menu, this won’t stop me from going back very soon though.
And finally, the staff, if a place could describe in perfection the term customer service this is it. Both Sophie’s and Roberta’s have the nicest most attentive staff I’ve seen in a long time. They all are very keen in engaging in conversation, giving you tips about their other restaurants or even showing you the whole place. I would give them 10 stars on customer service.
I’ll definitely will go back again.

  2. Had a fantastic experience there last night. Food and service was amazing. Bread from pizza oven with the olive oil was unreal, with sea salt. Fantastic dishes on the menu. Pot stickers, duck hearts and the pizza were my favourite. The sides blew me away. Cauliflower side was probably the best side ive ever had. wines were class. The design and layout of the venue is remarkable. Staff were sound. It’s a credit to all involved in this project.

  3. Had dinner with family here last week, everyone loved it. Really nice space, great views over the Liffey, good cocktail menu and excellent food. The lamb main course was a favourite among our group, as was the steak. For starters we had scallops (on the specials menu) and duck hearts, both really tasty. I would like to go back to try the brunch menu when I have a chance!

  4. Absolutely loved the space, which reveals itself after a short flight of stairs. We had friends from Switzerland with us last night, and they were very impressed with the lively atmosphere and the sheltered patio. Service was attentive, food was really, really tasty with the range of choice providing something for everyone – the pizza and seafood linguini were a huge success and my pork dish was definitely delicious too. Best of luck, look forward to going back soon!

  6. They just opened and we went for brunch, they only had full fat milk, no gluten free bread and no baked eggs which was a principle thing on the menu so we both ended up just having salads, the service was great and the cocktails were too

  7. Last night I had a beautiful experience in this place, beautiful venue over the top, the staff were friendly and the service just perfect. I had skinny chips and pizza margherita which was superb. I highly recommend this restaurant and surely I will come back.

  8. Had brunch here yesterday. Ordered the sweet potato salad, which was gorgeous, but not really substantial enough for a main. We then ordered a side of fries which never arrived. Cocktails are lovely but took forever to arrive.
The menu was quite limited for brunch.
The decor is stunning and I see what they’re trying to do but service needs to greatly improve.

  9. Had a beautiful brunch with the mammy today- lovely big airy room, New York loft feel about the decor. The food was excellent goats cheese salad 🥗 and eggs benedict. A big compliment to our waiter Marianne, she was exceptionally pleasant…. can’t wait to try it for dinner
